Meet Adrienne …

Adrienne LaRoe, LMFT Associate, Parish Counselor

Supervised by Leonard Bohanon, PhD, LMFT-S and Chris Stravitsch, DMin, LPC-S, LMFT-S

Adrienne LaRoe is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate who holds a Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology – Marriage and Family Therapy from Our Lady of the Lake University. She receives clinical supervision from Leonard Bohanon, PhD, LMFT-S, and Chris Stravitsch, DMin, LPC-S, LMFT-S.

Adrienne counsels from a strength-based, collaborative, solution focused and narrative approach. She sees herself as a guide who walks alongside her clients during their therapeutic journey.  Adrienne says, “On your journey, we are a team and will draw from your strengths to forge a new path toward your new life story”.

She counsels individuals, couples and families. She has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, clients dealing with autism, anxiety, depression, grief, post-traumatic stress, chronic medical illness, chronic pain, anger, decreased self-esteem, and COVID-19. Adrienne also has experience assisting people with marriage, relationship, and family distress.

Some specific areas that Adrienne can be of help are: a) couples wanting to feel close again, b) professional burnout, c) families struggling with chronic and genetic illnesses, d) people discerning their academic studies and their future careers, and e) teens, adults and older adults looking for who they are and where they belong.

Adrienne has volunteered in Catholic Schools as an athletic coach for 8+ years. In addition to coaching, she has volunteered as a Continuing Christian Education (CCE) teacher. She has lived and traveled around the world and offers a unique, worldly perspective in the therapy room. Adrienne feels God called her to become a therapist to use her gifts and talents to help people needing mental health care and emotional healing. She approaches therapy holistically, meaning people are “whole”—made up of mind, body and spirit.

In her free time, Adrienne enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and parents. She also enjoys painting, motorcycle riding, coaching sports and cheerleading, weightlifting, watching movies, listening to music, and spending time in nature. She and her family attend St. Edward Catholic Church.
