Meet John…

John Howard, LPC

John is a Licensed Professional Counselor. He earned a M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marymount University and received a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Dallas. As a therapist, he supports individuals and families on their way to restoring the whole person from a cognitive behavioral therapeutic approach.

John’s therapeutic process is the center of the client-counselor relationship that is built on authenticity, trust and constancy. He works hard to ensure that each client is offered a safe, open space so that a strong bond forms to aid in the therapeutic process. Specializing in anxiety and depressive disorders for adults and children, John has worked with geriatric clients at San Remo Rehab Center in Plano and clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder at Marymount University in Arlington, VA.

John enjoys playing recreational basketball and softball, playing guitar, and reading. He is also an avid baseball fan and life-long Rangers fan. Raised in Texas, he is the oldest of four children and now attends St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Wylie.
