Meet Lea…

Laurel Fauster, PhD(cand), LMFT

Laurel “Lea” Fauster is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist completing a Ph.D. in Counselor Education at Sam Houston State University. She earned a B.S. in Psychology and a B.S. in Criminal Justice (2013) at Sam Houston State University and an M.S. in Psychology (2016) at Our Lady of the Lake University, San Antonio.

Laurel believes every person deserves to be heard and that therapy should be tailored to the needs of whomever she is journeying with—individuals, couples, or families. Laurel is a Narrative therapist and approaches therapy from a Humanistic lens. She believes that by tailoring therapy to your needs, being honest, loving, and open…great things can happen quickly!

Laurel is a retired Police Officer who served the community in law enforcement for nearly 20 years. As a result, she has a great deal of experience helping people with trauma and issues related to Law Enforcement, Veterans, and First Responders. She co-founded a program for those on the Autism Spectrum, and tutored specifically Autism/Learning Disabilities for many years. She also works with actors and musicians on performance, anxiety, stage presence, and public speaking. Laurel and her family are parishioners of St. Ann Catholic Church.
