Meet Loran Morello, MA, LPC Associate
Supervised by Dr. Larry Freeney, PhD, LPC-S, CCTP

Loran Morello is an LPC Associate with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sam Houston State University. She completed her undergraduate studies in psychology at Texas A&M University.

Loran’s interest in counseling began during high school as she entered a period of intentional charism discernment, seeking to understand how her spiritual gifts could be used in service to others. Through actively cultivating the charisms of wisdom, hospitality, and counsel, she came to recognize a calling to accompany individuals through their challenges with compassionate care. During her undergraduate studies, she spent two formative summers learning from Catholic counselors and spiritual directors, witnessing the unique support they offer to individuals and families in distress. These experiences confirmed her calling to accompany others seeking emotional and spiritual well-being with compassionate care.

Loran grew up as a parishioner at St. Laurence Catholic Church in Sugar Land and continues to find joy in attending Mass at beautiful churches throughout the Houston area. In her free time, she loves hosting and cooking elaborate meals for loved ones, painting, and exploring the outdoors through hiking.
